About
Saint Constantine, or Constantine the Great, is considered the patron saint of Emperors and Rulers and he is invoked as a patron for those in positions of authority and leadership. He is also commonly considered the patron saint of Christianity itself as he made large efforts to spread his faith throughout the Roman Empire.
Our pendant showcases historical ancient Byzantine Christian designs, and the back of the pendant it features a cross with the powerful phrase:
IC: Short for "Iēsous" (Ancient Greek for Jesus).
XC: Short for "Christos" (Ancient Greek for Christ).
NI KA: Ancient Greek for "wins" or "conquers."
Together, IC XC NI KA means "Jesus Christ Conquers," symbolizing Christ's triumph over death and sin.
This Cross design is associated with St Constatine and Byzantine history, but is also still common today for both Orthodox Christians and Eastern Catholics.
